Josh's Photo Shoot
My client was my sister Abby, and she wanted happy photos. Flashlights were used and a reflective device. The photo shoot was done later in the day.
As for the old lady: Since the "shoot" is around noontime I wouldn't have her directly in the sun, although the sun can be used to the my advantage. I would probably use the sun in an attempt to make shadows by placing the lady under a tree or umbrella. For making her softer, I could try to do that in the editing process.
